Distribution, linehaul and terminal transport in Uusimaa and Häme

Daily distribution to your customers, linehaul between Helsinki and Lahti and terminal shuttles on an agreed timetable. Regular driver, tracking and a monthly invoice.

Distribution transport is for businesses whose goods go to the same addresses every day: replenishment for shops and pharmacies, ingredients for restaurants, supplies for offices and e-commerce deliveries to pick-up points. We run the route with the same driver at the same time, so the recipient knows when the load arrives. In linehaul we move larger consignments between terminals and warehouses along the Helsinki, Lahti and Hämeenlinna axis.

The service area covers Uusimaa, Kanta-Häme and Päijät-Häme, and daily routes leave from Malmi in Helsinki and from Lahti. The fleet includes vans for urban distribution, a 7.5-tonne fully electric Fuso eCanter for zero-emission delivery in city centres and an 18-tonne lorry for linehaul. Temperature-controlled capacity covers food and medicines, and condition data is sent to the customer.

Pricing depends on route length, number of stops, vehicle class and whether the route runs daily or less often. A daily distribution round gets a fixed route price, single consignments are priced per job and linehaul is priced per run. Businesses are quoted excluding VAT, and you will normally have a quote the same working day.

Daily distribution for shops, pharmacies, restaurants and offices

An agreed route, an agreed time, the same driver. The round runs every weekday or on agreed days, and stops are added as needed.

Shops and retail chains

Replenishment from the central warehouse to stores before opening. Roll cages swapped for empties, returns on the same run.

Pharmacies

Medicine and supply deliveries from wholesaler to pharmacy and transfers between pharmacies. Temperature-monitored vehicles when needed.

Restaurants and kitchens

Ingredients and dry goods to kitchens in the morning before service. The cold chain is maintained in the load space.

Offices and sites

Internal mail, supplies and equipment between sites on agreed days. One invoice, one contact person.

Linehaul between Helsinki, Lahti and Hämeenlinna

Linehaul is a transfer between terminals, warehouses and production sites in which a pallet load or a full vehicle moves at once. We drive between Helsinki and Lahti daily and to Hämeenlinna, Hyvinkää and Riihimäki by arrangement. The load is collected in the afternoon or evening and is at the destination terminal by the next morning, so local distribution can start straight away.

For linehaul we use the 18-tonne lorry with a tail lift where the unloading point has no dock. When linehaul is combined with our local distribution, the same driver can run a morning round in Lahti and an afternoon linehaul to Helsinki, which lowers the cost compared with two separate orders. State the number of pallets, the weight and the time windows at both ends in your request.

Terminal and transfer runs

We move goods between terminals, harbours and warehouses on an agreed timetable or on demand.

  • Collections from Vuosaari harbour and the airport cargo area to your own warehouse
  • Transfers from a forwarder's terminal to your premises and back
  • Container unloading and transfer of pallet freight to interim storage
  • Transfers between your own warehouses and sites
  • Collection of returns and empty roll cages at the end of a distribution round

Meal and food transport

In meal transport, food travels from a central kitchen to schools, nurseries, care homes or lunch restaurants at the temperature it left in. In food distribution the cold chain is held at +2 to +8 °C, frozen goods down to −22 °C where required, and the load-space temperature is logged for the whole journey. Our drivers know the requirements of in-house control plans and confirm deliveries according to the recipient's instructions.

A typical meal route runs at the same time every day with the same driver, so the rhythm of the kitchen and the recipient holds. If food must arrive at a specific time, give the time window in your request and the route is planned around it. Temperature-controlled transport has its own page that covers the vehicles and monitoring in more detail.

Courier and express transport for businesses

When a consignment cannot wait for the next distribution round, a driver collects it and delivers the same day within our service area.

Same-day delivery

Collection and delivery within the same working day in Uusimaa, Kanta-Häme and Päijät-Häme. Order by phone or email.

Direct transport

The consignment travels straight from sender to recipient without terminal handling. Suits spare parts, documents and samples.

Contract courier

For recurring express deliveries we agree a fixed price list and an ordering channel. Monthly invoice itemised by consignment.

Zero-emission delivery with the Fuso eCanter

For urban distribution we use a 7.5-tonne fully electric Fuso eCanter lorry. It is quiet on the move, which suits early-morning deliveries to residential areas and city-centre shopfronts, and it produces no exhaust emissions. The vehicle fits the narrow streets and loading bays of the centre where a full-size lorry cannot go, and the load space takes pallets and roll cages in the same load.

For many of our customers zero-emission delivery is part of their own sustainability reporting: when the last mile is driven on electricity, it shows in the supply chain's emissions figures. On request we tell you which routes are driven electrically, and we plan new city-centre routes for the electric lorry first. Longer linehaul is still driven with the 18-tonne lorry.

Tracking and reporting

You know where the load is and when it was delivered without having to call.

  • GPS tracking in all distribution vehicles, location visible as agreed
  • Proof of delivery from the recipient, into your own system if required
  • Temperature data for temperature-controlled loads for the whole journey
  • Immediate notice of exceptions: closed reception, missing parcel, delay
  • Monthly report of runs, stops and exceptions attached to the invoice

Pricing

The price of distribution is based on route length, number of stops, vehicle class and frequency. A daily route is priced as a fixed route price, a single consignment per job and linehaul per run. Temperature monitoring and the electric lorry are included in the price when they are agreed for the route. Businesses are quoted excluding VAT.

Per job

Single consignments and same-day express deliveries.

Route price

A daily or weekly distribution round at a fixed price.

Contract price

Distribution, linehaul and terminal runs as one package at a monthly price.

Frequently asked questions

What does distribution transport cost?

The price is calculated from route length, number of stops, vehicle class and frequency. A daily distribution round gets a fixed route price that is considerably cheaper per stop than a single consignment. Per-job pricing suits occasional consignments and express deliveries. Request a quote by giving the stops and time windows, and you will normally have a price, excluding VAT, the same working day.

Do you drive at weekends and at night?

Yes, by agreement. Linehaul is often driven in the evening or at night so the load is at the destination terminal by morning, and shop replenishment runs before opening hours. Weekend distribution is arranged for contract customers on agreed days. Night and weekend shifts are priced differently from weekdays, so state the timing in your request.

How many stops per day?

The number of stops depends on the area, the size of the load and the time windows. In dense urban distribution one vehicle handles several dozen stops a day; across a wide area or with heavy loads, fewer. After a trial run of the route we know the exact figure and can agree what fits. If stops increase, a vehicle or a shift is added to the route.

Can we outsource distribution entirely?

Yes. Many of our customers have moved their whole distribution to us: route planning, vehicles, drivers, cover and reporting. You handle orders and picking; we handle everything from the loading dock to the recipient. The contract sets out service levels, time windows and reporting, and a named contact person handles route changes. See also the page on transport subcontracting.

How do I track deliveries?

Distribution vehicles are GPS-tracked and deliveries are confirmed by the recipient. By agreement the driver confirms delivery directly in your own system, so the information is visible immediately. We report exceptions straight away by phone or email. A monthly report of runs and stops comes with the invoice, and condition data is provided for temperature-monitored loads.

Is the electric lorry suitable for our route?

The electric lorry suits urban distribution and terminal shuttles best, where the day's mileage is moderate and the stops are many. It is quiet and zero-emission, so it fits early-morning deliveries and restricted city-centre zones. Long linehaul we drive with the 18-tonne lorry. Tell us the route length and stops and we will assess whether the route should be driven electrically.

Can collections and returns be combined with distribution?

Yes, and it is the most efficient way. The same driver drops off deliveries and takes returns, empty roll cages or a consignment from a supplier on the way back. Collections are planned into the route in advance, and occasional collections are ordered through your contact person. The monthly report itemises collections and deliveries separately.

Distribution that runs the same way every day

Tell us the stops, time windows and load. We will propose a route, vehicles and a pricing model, normally the same working day.
