In the Helsinki region the difference is in pre-booking: a fixed price, an agreed vehicle and a driver who is there before you are.
In Helsinki you can get a taxi through an app in minutes, but a minivan taxi for eight, a wheelchair-accessible vehicle or a guaranteed ride to a morning flight is a different matter. In the capital region FLF focuses on pre-booked journeys and business customers: minivan taxis for 1–8 passengers, accessible vehicles and saloon cars such as the BMW 5 Series, Mercedes-Benz E-Class and Tesla Model S. Our Helsinki office is at Ormuspellontie 20 in Malmi, a short drive from both the city centre and Helsinki-Vantaa Airport.
We cover the whole capital region: Helsinki city centre, Pasila and the Messukeskus exhibition centre, the West Harbour and Vuosaari Harbour, Aviapolis and the airport in Vantaa, and Keilaniemi, Otaniemi and Leppävaara in Espoo are daily destinations. For businesses we offer an invoicing agreement where rides are booked through a dedicated channel and invoiced monthly on a consolidated invoice. Our drivers are our own employees, so the service level is the same on every ride.
Individual rides are booked through the region's most common dispatch channels and apps, where our vehicles operate and where the channel sets the price. Advance bookings, airport transfers, group moves and contract journeys are agreed directly with us at a fixed price. The price depends on the route, time of day, vehicle size and frequency. Pre-booking a minivan taxi in Helsinki at a fixed price
An app taxi is a good option in Helsinki when you need a car right now and there are at most four passengers. Pre-booking pays off when the schedule is tight, there are more passengers, or the ride is part of a larger arrangement: a morning flight, transferring seminar guests, an accessible ride or the return to Espoo after dinner. With a pre-booking the vehicle is agreed in advance, the driver is there before you and the price is fixed regardless of congestion on Ring I or Mannerheimintie.
The pre-booking price is made up of the route, time of day, vehicle type and waiting time. A minivan taxi for eight costs more than a saloon car but often less than two separate taxis. When you book, tell us the addresses, time, number of passengers, luggage and any mobility aids so that we can choose the right vehicle and confirm the price by message.
We also book several vehicles at once. When a group is larger than eight, we send two or three minivan taxis at the same time from the same address. We do not have minibuses for more than 8 people, and we say so plainly in the quote.
To the airport, harbours and Messukeskus
- Helsinki-Vantaa Airport: pick-up from your door or hotel; on the return the driver tracks the flight's arrival and waits in the arrivals hall.
- West Harbour and Katajanokka: ferry passengers collected from the terminal by minivan taxi, luggage in one vehicle.
- Vuosaari Harbour: freight-sector and ship crew transport at agreed times, including at night.
- Messukeskus in Pasila: exhibitor and visitor shuttles between hotels and the exhibition halls for the whole event.
- Aviapolis: guest and staff rides for businesses near the airport on the Vantaa side.
Minivan taxi in Espoo
In Espoo most of our rides are business-related: from offices in Keilaniemi and Otaniemi to the airport, from Leppävaara and Tapiola to events in the city centre, and from Espoo's residential areas to morning flights. From Espoo to Helsinki-Vantaa along Ring III typically takes 30–45 minutes, and a pre-booked minivan taxi leaves at the agreed time regardless of whether app taxis happen to be available nearby.
The price of a minivan taxi in Espoo is formed the same way as elsewhere in the capital region: route, time, vehicle size and frequency. For regular rides, for example a weekly transfer from Otaniemi to the airport, we agree a contract price. Accessible vehicles serve Espoo in the same way as Helsinki, and the driver assists you in and out of the vehicle.
Minivan taxi in Vantaa
In Vantaa a minivan taxi is most often pre-booked for the airport: a family from Tikkurila or Myyrmäki to a morning flight, or a group arriving at the airport heading to the Aviapolis hotels and on to central Helsinki. Our Malmi office is close to the Vantaa border, so a vehicle reaches Vantaa quickly. For airport pick-ups the driver waits in the arrivals hall at an agreed spot and tracks the flight's arrival time.
For Vantaa businesses, especially logistics and technology companies around the airport and Aviapolis, we agree an invoicing agreement where guest and staff rides are booked through a dedicated channel and invoiced monthly. The price of a single ride is fixed and confirmed at booking.
Wheelchair-accessible taxi in Helsinki, Espoo and Vantaa
Accessible fleet
Sprinter, Crafter and Caddy Maxi vehicles with a wheelchair space of at least 0.75 × 1.10 m, an interior height of 1.40–1.45 m, a lift or ramp and wheelchair restraints in line with Traficom's requirements.
The driver assists
The driver helps you in and out, secures the wheelchair and accompanies you to the door if needed. An escort fits in the same vehicle.

Medical appointments, rehabilitation, care home outings and family celebrations in the capital region as pre-bookings at a fixed price.
Kela and the wellbeing services county
Kela-reimbursed journeys in Uusimaa are booked through the region's Kela booking number and county transport through its own dispatch. FLF vehicles drive through these dispatches as a contract partner.

Pricing
In the capital region the price of an app ride is set by the booking channel. For pre-bookings, airport transfers and contract journeys we give a fixed price that depends on the route, time of day, vehicle size and frequency. We do not publish a price list, but we tell you the price before the journey. Passenger transport carries 14% VAT; for businesses, prices are quoted excluding VAT.
Fixed advance price
A single minivan taxi or saloon car at an agreed time, for example to the airport or the West Harbour.
Contract price
A company's recurring rides in Helsinki, Espoo and Vantaa with an agreed price list and consolidated invoice.
Event package
Several vehicles and shuttle service for the duration of a Messukeskus fair or a congress.

How early do I need to book a minivan taxi in Helsinki?
It is best to pre-book by the previous day at the latest, and a few days ahead for larger groups or several vehicles. We can often help at shorter notice too, because our Malmi office is a short drive from the city centre and the airport. For a single ride right now, use the region's apps.
What does pre-booking cost?
With a pre-booking the price is fixed and agreed at the time of booking. It is made up of the route, time of day, vehicle size and any waiting time. Pre-booking is not a separate surcharge but a way of locking in the price before the journey. Request a quote and we will confirm the price by message, usually on the same working day.
Do you operate in Espoo and Vantaa?
Yes, Espoo and Vantaa are part of the same capital region service area as Helsinki. In Espoo we drive for businesses in Keilaniemi and Otaniemi, for example, and in Vantaa we handle airport and Aviapolis rides. The fixed pre-booking price applies across the whole area on the same basis.

Can I book a minibus?
Our largest vehicle is a minivan taxi for 1+8 passengers. We do not have minibuses for more than 8 people. We drive a larger group in two or three minivan taxis at the same time from the same address, which works well for a 20-person seminar group from Messukeskus to a hotel, for example. Tell us the group size and we will size the vehicles.
Do you serve rides from the airport to the city centre?
Yes. We pick up at Helsinki-Vantaa for the city centre, Espoo and Vantaa as pre-bookings at a fixed price. The driver tracks the flight's arrival time and waits in the arrivals hall at an agreed spot, so a delayed flight does not void the ride. Without a pre-booking you can get a taxi from the airport through the region's apps or the taxi rank.
